EATING CARROTS MAKES YOU MORE ATTRACTIVE

British researchers studying the link between skin color and attractiveness discovered that eating your carrots enhances more than just your eyesight. It can make you more attractive too.

Looking into the relationship between skin hue and perceived attractiveness, researchers at St. Andrew’s and Bristol universities found that people with a yellow hue to their skin were judged healthier and more attractive. They also found that yellow pigment, also known as carotenoids, found in some fruits and vegetables are responsible for producing the yellow hue of people’s skin.

Scientists hope that their finding can be used strategically in the on-going battle to convince young people to eat more fruits and vegetables. After all, the young are more likely to be swayed by an obvious external benefit – good looks – than to worry about the possible ill effects of a poor diet that won’t catch up to them until they hit middle age.
