Other acts included in the festival’s early line-up announcement include fellow dance titans Underworld, 80s pop sensations Duran Duran and the Jacksons, along with newer artists such as Jungle, Kate Tempest and Fat White Family. Underworld, who are currently touring their classic album Dubnobasswithmyheadman, will headline the Big Top stage on Thursday as a UK festival exclusive.
Organiser Rob da Bank said: “With its Summer of Love theme, [this year’s Bestival] is all about one huge musical, well, orgy… So, returning friends the Chemical Brothers rave alongside iconic popstars Duran Duran and The Jacksons, and some of my favourite modern musical mavericks – Tame Impala, Flying Lotus and Jungle – jump in bed together.”
Other artists announced include Little Dragon, Jamie xx, Todd Terje, Action Bronson, Future Islands, Level 42, Young Fathers, Slaves and George the Poet. DJs will include Annie Mac, Lily Allen and Seth Troxler.
Bestival boasts over 25 stages in 8 fields. It takes place 10–13 September at Robin Hill on the Isle of Wight. Tickets are on sale now.
